Whether you're an elite athlete or aspiring to compete like one. Athletic Compression sports wear will help reduce muscle injury and aid recovery between training sessions.
Performance enhancing clothing range released by Body Science
Australia’s elite athletes are already benefiting from an exciting new range of sports garments, scientifically proven to significantly boost performance and recovery.
Developed in association with leading industry human performance specialists and using extensive research data from studies involving athletes at all levels, KompressorZ is the name given to the technology used to develop a unique range of patented and medically registered compression undergarments, which help to target muscle groups – a significant factor in sports performance.
KompressorZ was developed by top Australian sports performance company, Body Science, to enhance and complement its already successful range of nutritional and sports supplements.
The Body
The Body Science range uses KompressorZ technology to help athletes at all levels - from the elite, to the ‘weekend warrior’ - perform at their peak.
The lightweight and comfortable range is based on research on real athletes, rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, and includes separate men’s and women’s design elements.
The Science
The key to garments’ performance benefits is the compression produced by their superior, targeted design.
Panels provide targeted compression to the relevant muscle groups. This means each muscle group is independently supported.
This unique feature is promoted during the muscle movement.
The fabric's return weave and the permanent and aggressive moisture management properties make its design an industry leader
The development of KompressorZ further enhances Body Science’s strong reputation in manufacturing excellence and consistency.
Innovative and well-respected international brands, including Sorbtek ®, Creora ®, X-static ® and UPF 50+ ® are all associated with the Body Science KompressorZ.

How muscle compression improves performance
Muscle compression has been proven to provide a number of benefits. Body Science
KompressorZ targeted compression allows for both injury prevention and recovery.
- Improved targeted muscle alignment. Results in greater
muscle stamina and endurance.
- The garment encloses each region like a muscle sheath.
This strengthens and supports the targeted muscle groups, reducing muscular
micro-tears caused by muscle vibration during sporting activities. This delays
the onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) and improves recovery times.
- Improved proprioception. Provided in the standard (muscle
belly) and the new targeted (muscle sheathing) range. Proprioception is the
body's own sensory mechanism for balance, motor co-ordination and movement.
- Reduced oscillation. The targeted compression is used to
improve the alignment of the muscles and reduce translational movement. The
linear movements are promoted, thereby improving muscle efficacy. This leads
to increased efficiency in movement and reduces the likelihood of injury due
to muscle misalignment.
- Enhanced circulation by promoting venous return. This physiological
improvement promotes oxygenated blood flow which assists the body’s
performance, power, endurance, and the removal of waste, including lactic
acid (a principal cause of muscle soreness post exercise).
- Sorbtek ® research has also proven that the moisture management qualities
of the Body Science KompressorZ fabric keeps wearers drier, and regulates
their core temperature both during and after exercise. This means
Body Sciences KompressorZ keeps athletes cool when it’s hot and less
chilled when it is cold. The ‘Catch, Move, Release’ system - moves
moisture faster and further than any other yarn. Body Science KompressorZ
instantly ‘catch’ moisture from the skin, ‘move’
it to the outer layer of the garment and ‘release’ it to the air.
X-static ®, silver fibre in the groin region helps to inhibit the growth
of bacteria and fungi. This neutralises odour-causing ammonia and denatured
proteins. X- static ® also aids in the reduction of electrostatic discharge.
Anyone who exercises will understand - KompressorZ just feels better.
